PFT Property Services sells and distributes PolyGuard Schedule 8 Drug Disposal Kits predominantly in Western Australia and services all other States which has a requirement for the destruction of medicines and poisons to be undertaken in the most effective and safest method through the use of purposely developed Schedule 8 Drug Disposal Kits. These are available to all Pharmacies, Aged Care Homes and the like to allow them to comply with the Department of Health Recommendations applying in each State which requires Schedule 8 Controlled Drugs to be properly disposed in a safe manner an be capable of incineration for total destruction in an environmentally friendly manner.

PFT Property Services imports, distributes and sells PolyGuard Controlled Drug Destruction Kits manufactured by Yorkshire Hygiene Solutions. The kits come in different sizes 250ml, 500ml, 1000ml and 2000ml which are used for the denaturing of controlled schedule 8 medicines and poisons.
How the kits work-The PolyGuard system employs an active agent to break the chemical bonds of the drugs and after 48 hours the drug will no longer be active.
The controlled drug destruction kit not only denatures but actually destroys the controlled drugs compared to other similar products that only denature the drugs giving greater security and confidence.
The denaturing powder used is considered to be very effective in destroying the actual drugs without the need for them to be crushed.
A Material Safety Data Sheet(SDS) is available for this product and provided to each user of the product.

Instructions for the use of the Kits:-
Step 1. Shake the container to loosen the granules.
Step 2. Fill the container as follows:-
* Tablets - (no crushing add to half capacity of container then fill with water to the top)
* Powders - (add to half capacity of container then fill with water to the top)
* Liquids - (add to half capacity of container then fill with water to the top)
* Ampoules - (break open or crush an add to full capacity of container then fill with water to the top)
* Patches- (cut into roughly 1cm strips can also be put into the kits)
Step 3. Fill the container to capacity with water.
Step 4. Replace the lid securely.
Step 5. Shake thoroughly to disperse.
Step 6. Contents will congeal within 1-2 minutes.
